Principal Achievement

Involvement / assisting with implementation project of ADC's (Saville) CBP telecommunications billing system application on an IBM AS/400, supported by/interlaced with IBM RS6000, HP Unix and Windows NT systems. Personal project accomplishments consisted of:

·   Analysis and implementation of operations department procedures and shift systems.

·   Team leadership and training of the operations personnel responsible for performing and monitoring operational procedures on said platforms.

·   Creation of I.T. billing systems operations documentation pertaining to the AS/400 system, live billing system application and x-platform operations procedures.

·   24/7 operations support contact for GSM billing and testing teams, ensuring operations SLA's were met. Implemented operations and communications protocols between billing operations and GSM testing teams.

·   Operations contact for ADC (Saville) development and support personnel as and when ADC required billing system data or intended making program changes.

·   Assistance with implementation of helpdesk support procedures for live and test environments.

Project fulfilment required close relations with application vendor personnel, experienced telecommunications professionals and IT professionals of differing platforms, as well as liaising with both internal and external (printing house) departmental management and personnel.
